Perfect for first-timers: UNASMUN is perfect for first-timers, easing them in with skills and knowledge which are also applicable beyond simulation conferences. Training modules set them up well for UNASMUN, and – more crucially – for future conferences.
A conference for everyone: We have three different committee categories:
Category A (for delegates with no prior Model UN experience);
Category B (for delegates who have prior Model UN experience);
Category C (for the most experienced delegates – including but not necessarily limited to our crisis committees)
This means that regardless of your level of experience with MUN, UNASMUN is the conference for you!
Esteemed speakers from the civil society: Every year at UNASMUN, esteemed guest speakers are invited to share their expertise and experience on the different issues on the agenda, with plenty of interactions through questions and answers.
Dinner and dance: After four days of intellectual stimulation, unwind on the final evening of the conference! Dress up and have fun at the informal closing dinner, with food stalls, a photo booth, as well as a fun activity corner. Dinner and dance will happen on the final evening of the conference, and more information about the event will be disseminated at the start of UNASMUN.
History of UNASMUN
Held over four days in December, the United Nations Association of Singapore Model United Nations (UNASMUN) Preparatory Conference is focused on students who have little to no prior MUN experience, but open to all. Participants will be guided through MUN simulation, listen to guest speakers from civil society, and ultimately gain more knowledge about the UN and Singapore.
